Built From the Ground Up

Reetu Maz didn’t come from venture capital. She didn’t inherit a family business. She started in her parents’ basement with limited capital, a clothing brand idea, and the kind of resourcefulness that only comes from having no safety net.

That first business taught her everything the hard way. Product sourcing. Margins. Customer behavior. Marketing on a budget. How to take an idea and turn it into something that actually generates revenue. It became the foundation for everything she built after.

She went on to launch and sell a custom journal business, then purchased and operated a full grocery store where she managed day to day operations before eventually selling. From there she built an event venue from the ground up, handling everything from construction to launch.

What makes her track record different is that none of it happened behind closed doors. Every phase has been documented publicly. The wins, the exits, the setbacks, and the real decisions that shaped each business along the way.

This site is a reflection of that body of work.

Documented in Public

From the very beginning, Reetu made the decision to share her journey publicly. Not after the wins. Not after the exits. In real time. The result is a content library that reflects years of building, operating, and exiting businesses across multiple industries.

Her YouTube channel and social platforms document the full picture. Product launches. Revenue breakdowns. The operational side of running a grocery store. The process of building an event venue from an empty space. Selling a business and deciding what comes next.

This level of transparency is rare in the entrepreneurship space, where most people only share the highlight reel. Reetu shares the full story because she believes that is what actually helps people.

The documentation is not just content for content’s sake. It serves as a public record of her work and creates accountability that most entrepreneurs never subject themselves to. When you share what you are building in real time, there is no room to rewrite the story after the fact.

How Reetu Maz Builds Businesses

Across every venture, whether ecommerce or brick and mortar, Reetu operates from the same set of principles.

Build with real margins.

Nothing moves forward until the unit economics make sense. Product, pricing, and cost structure get solved first. Everything else comes after.

Operate what you build.

She has personally operated every business she has launched. That means being hands on with fulfillment, staffing, cash flow, and customer experience. Not advising from a distance. Running it.

Document the process.

Every build has been shared publicly through long form content and social platforms. The wins and the losses. That kind of transparency creates a level of accountability most people avoid.

Exit with intention.

She doesn’t attach her identity to a business. A business is an asset. Some get scaled. Some get sold. Every decision is made with long term strategy in mind, not emotion.

Teach from experience.

Through Brand Starter Academy, she now helps others apply these same principles to launch and grow their own online brands. The program is built entirely around what has actually worked across her own businesses.

Think in decades.

Short-term wins are irrelevant if the foundation is weak. Every decision is evaluated through durability, brand equity, and compounding skill. Businesses are built to last, not to spike.

This is the framework behind every brand she builds and every student she coaches.

Still Building

Reetu is currently building a new online brand while running Brand Starter Academy, her coaching program for people who want to start and grow their own online businesses. The program is structured entirely around what she has learned across every business she has built and sold.

She works directly with her students because she remembers what it felt like to be at the beginning with no one to ask for help. The curriculum is not theoretical. It is built from real decisions made across real businesses in real time.

Everything she builds now is informed by the operational discipline she developed across ecommerce, brick and mortar, and multiple exits. The approach has not changed. Build with real margins. Operate what you build. Document the process. Exit with intention.

The work continues and it is nowhere close to being done.
