An AI-assisted online store workflow starts with accurate product information, uses AI to prepare drafts and puts human review before publication. You can ask for help with brand ideas, page copy or a simple planning tool. You still need to verify the product, configure your store and test the buying experience.
This guide describes a general workflow using Wix and Base44 tools. It is not a list of features included in every program or subscription. Check the current tool and plan before committing to a specific setup.
Start with a product fact sheet
Before generating copy, collect the information the customer needs: product name, dimensions, materials, available variants, care instructions and delivery details you can support. Note the source of each fact and leave unknown fields blank.
For a hypothetical reusable lunch container, the fact sheet might contain its measured capacity, actual materials, available lid colors and verified cleaning instructions. A claim that it is suitable for a dishwasher belongs in the sheet only if you have reliable supporting information.
Keep your customer research nearby. The product-validation checklist helps you identify which questions matter to the intended buyer. Your drafts should answer those questions with the facts you have.
Use AI for one defined task at a time
Wix documents AI tools for creating text and product descriptions in its AI tools overview. Give the tool a specific audience, the confirmed facts and the format you want.
Here is a reusable prompt:
Draft a product description for beginners who carry lunch to work. Use only the facts below. Start with what the product does, then list its dimensions and care instructions. Leave out any performance claim that is not in the facts. End with a list of information I still need to confirm.
Paste your fact sheet below that instruction. Read the draft against the sheet line by line. Remove invented materials, certifications or delivery promises. If the description is vague, revise the instructions with the question the customer needs answered.
Save files named Product Facts and Approved Description separately so the factual record stays easy to find. That makes future corrections easier when a product variant or supplier detail changes.
Build the store around the buying decision
Prepare a clear product page with genuine product information and suitable images. Group specifications so a visitor can find them quickly. Make it easy to identify price, variants, delivery information and how to ask a question.
The Wix store-setup guide describes configuration for products, payments and delivery. Use the current instructions for the store you actually operate.
Review AI-generated images carefully. A generated scene can change the product's proportions, color or features. Use accurate images to show what the customer will receive, and check any illustrative image against the actual item before publishing it.
For your broader preparation list, follow the first-brand roadmap. The store needs accurate operations behind the pages as well as readable copy.
Keep Base44 tasks narrow and testable
Base44 describes generating and refining apps through natural-language instructions in its app-building guide. A beginner planning workflow could start with a small internal product-research tracker.
Describe the fields you need and the action the tool should perform. For example: product idea, source link, question to investigate, sample status and next action. Ask for a view that separates researched ideas from ideas with unanswered questions.
This hypothetical planning example illustrates a separate tool-building task. Check the resulting app with fictional records first. See whether you can add, edit and retrieve information correctly. Review access settings before entering business data, and confirm costs or usage limits in the current provider plan.
A tool that organizes your notes still depends on the quality of those notes. Its output cannot establish customer demand by itself.
Test the customer journey before publishing
Open the store on a phone and a computer. Follow the steps a new visitor would take: understand the product, choose a variant, find delivery information and reach checkout. Check the contact link and policy pages along the way.
Wix provides a documented checkout preview process. Follow that process rather than assuming a finished-looking page can accept an order correctly.
Keep a short issue log with the page, action, expected behavior and what actually happened. Fix the issue, then repeat that step. After launch, use real customer questions to update unclear product information.
